    NOLAN HOWELL
team leader - logistics - emt
Nolan Howell, born and raised in Oregon, started volunteering with his local Fire/EMS department when he was 16 years old. After becoming an EMT-B, he joined the military and gained experience in trauma care as an infantry line medic. After becoming wounded in Iraq in 2006, he left the military and went back to school to become a pastor. After serving in that role, which brought him and his wife and three kids to Central Oregon, he now feels drawn back to serving the community through emergency medicine.  He and his family enjoy doing many different outdoor actives, mostly together, including hiking, swimming, running, and playing outside with their dog. Central Oregon is the perfect fit for all of their passions.

      KATE FRY
      Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Kate grew up in a family of nurses in Portland, OR. A story that is dear to her heart and that possibly guided her into the medical field was when she was younger her mother would bring home syringes and she would play doctor with all her stuffed animals. Other than playing surgeon as a child she was also privileged to travel to all over the globe, a passion she still has to this day. Kate loves to hike, travel, ride horses, and is a water baby at heart. Her goal is to get her paramedic license and then hopefully transition into something similar to Doctors Without Borders, where she would have the chance to make a difference in other countries. She share's her home in Bend with one quite confused cat who thinks she's a dog.
